Yesterday I can distracted, and left my tractor in gear for about 3 minutes, the tractor started moving, and you smelled the clutch burning. Is this the end for this clutch?

Maybe.

I burned mine up when I first got it because the PO didn't have it adjusted correctly and it was slipping, especially when I engaged the flail mower. It got worse and worse until the tractor wouldn't move much less turn over the flail mower. The latter puts a big load on the clutch.

If you determine you need a new clutch you can just send the clutch off to Earth Tools and they will rebuild it for about $100 (IIRC) - that is what I did. Pretty easy to take the tractor apart and take the clutch out.
