I'm thinking about a back blade for my 35hp 4wd Kubota L35. Anyone know where these are made?

I'm not interested in any 3rd world pot metal. The last I new they were made in either the USA or Canada but times have changed.

Farm King say there equipment is manufactured in Manitoba, North Dakota, and Minnesota.

Here's a link:

Buhler Industries Inc.

I suspect major components might come from China.

Another comment on the bush hog ( and I may be wrong in assuming you are refering to a brush mower (aka rotary cutter)):

I bought a 4' brush mower for my L275DT a few years ago and opted for an ugly-looking Chinese model (I think it may be Universal Machinery). It has an angle iron frame on top and does look crude. The dealer sells prettier looking ones like the Farm King and Land Pride but considered the no-brand one to be more rugged.

I do have a Farm King 5' finishing mower, 6' landscape rake, and 6' rear blade.

I have a 7' Series 70 Bush Hog rear blade that weighs in at 538 pounds (Max HP = 70, CAT I & II hitches). I'm not sure of its country of origin, but it is well-constructed IMO.

I haven't checked their current literature, but my owner's manual lists a 7' 50 Series that weighs 430 pounds (MAX HP =50, CAT I hitch) and a 7' 35 Series that weighs 340 pounds (MAX HP =35, CAT I hitch).

Rereading your post and checking out the Bush Hog site, I realise you likely do mean a rear blade and not a rotary cutter. I didn't know Bush Hog made all those other things!

Anyhow, I imagine Farm King blades are built in USA or Canada (from what it says at the link in my previous post). I suppose it is anybody's guess where they get the steel.

I have a Farm King 72" Series 45 side shift blade. I have used it roughly, it has stood up well, and am very pleased with it. I would not consider the lighter Series 30 blades.

The "Rear Blades" are under "Allied by Farm King" section of the Farm King site. But the link to download a brochure does not work. You can find the brochure under the "Landscaping Equipment" section and it contains data for rear blades. The link to the brochure is:

Not sure if you're refering to a rotary cutter or a Bush Hog brand scrape blade. I own both in Land Pride. Good quality and U.S. made. The scrape blade comes with a stand for easy hook up.
