I know nothing about snow blowers since we don't use them in this part of the country, but it appears to me that you've named the top 3 brush hog brands. I don't think you could go wrong with any of those. My personal experience has been with the Bush Hog and Howse brands. I was happy with both but the Bush Hog was definitely better quality.

Welcome to TBN :D! From the information you have provided you could probably use a 5' or 6' rotary cutter. A lot depends on what kind of vegetation you are cutting. There are differences between LD, MD, and HD rotary cutters. Tell us more. Jay :)

If you do a search here you will find a wealth of info on rotary cutters. Thats what I did before I bought my BH Model 287, which is a medium duty cutter. This was a recent purchase, so Ive only used it a couple times in some field and light brush and it performed as expected. I expect to be getting into more heavier stuff also, but believe the unit will hold up as it is well built for sure. What I do know is these units are getting up into some money when you get past the KK and lighter duty models. The names you mentioned are excellent quality from what I've read, and you will pay for it, though I believe buying quality is the better choice long term. Buy now, cause pricing is only going higher, and there may be some zero % deals on some models. Good luck with your search.

I have a 4' Montana Hog. Amazing what it can plow through. I have logged 8 hours in brush, blackberries and scotchbroom that was taller than the tractor. 8-20 inch grass wouldn't make it sneeze. So fat, the best tractor investment I have got. I spent 600$ for it and none of the abuse has showed on the deck yet, I am very happy

Anyone that you listed, and many others you haven't, will give you no problems.

It sounds like a 5' or 6' medium duty rotary cutter is in your future :D! Try to get a model with a slip clutch; it will probably cost you ~$150 extra. You need an RC that will cover your tracks. Jay :)

Just my opinion, for the money you just can't beat a Howse. They are usually quite a bit less expensive than the others and the quality is very good. I own a 5' and 7' medium duty and a 10' heavy duty. I have never had a moments trouble with any of them. I own/operate a land maintenance business where I bushog 100-200 acres a year total and these rotarys haven't let me down yet. Next spring I'll be purchasing a Howse SHD15 15' batwing for the business.
