Ford 1700 25 hp
I have recently purchased a Ford 1700 compact tractor with a Sweepster 5 ft Broom attachment. Where as I then bought a New Bush Hog M146 loader without control valve or mounting brackets..very cheap I may add! but i do need to locate the mounting brackets fo rthis particular model tractor. I also purchased a Kubota 4530B backhoe as well. Can't wait to gethome and play with it all. I need tolocate a hudraulic pump for this unit. Any help on a manufacturer of mounting brackets would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all
Forrest

You will have to get the brackets for the loader from bush hog. Every brand loader uses different brackets. I assume you are thalaing about a pto driven pump fore the hoe. Try surplus center

I suspect you have an 1846 (not a 146). Do you have a nearby example 1700/Bush Hog Loader combo you could copy?
I have the parts diagrams you could use to guide you, but they do not show dimensions - they're not that complex - if you have some steel, a way to cut, and a welder. Basicly a bracket on each side, and a front bumper bracket.

I suspect that they'd be pretty salty from a dealer.

I actually did redesign mine, ran subframe back to the rear axle. The way they had it put way too much strain on the bolts on either side of the engine block - actually snapped a couple of 'em off! Still use the side brackets, though.

<I need tolocate a hudraulic pump for this unit.>

Ford has an adapter/hydraulic "break out block" for the 1000 series tractors, simple bolt on, provides plenty of oil for backhoe, FEL, 3ph log splitter, power steering, etc.

The loader plate says M146/2125 I am assuming 2125 may be a Great Bend crossreference as I have heard they have an identical loader. I am having a heckof a time finding a dealer through the Bush Hog site for some reason. I am in Afghanistan.

Thanks

The plate on the loader says 146/2025, and am assuming this is the Great Bend twin to the M146. I can find very little on the internet, just usually repeat tech information. But no Mounting brackets. Even the Bush Hog site offeres nothing on the M146. The M246 and up, yes, but not this model. I do have a gasoline welder and am sure i could fabricate them if I can see them. I copied the info you left for me here. Thanks. You recomment a subframe to the rear then? Sounds very reasonable also. The backhoe is a 3 point hitch type. I am in Afghanistan and am having to research everything on the internet from here. Thanks for your valuble input. Feel free to advise on anything else.

That is a good idea regarding extending the mounting brackets to include more subframe...I can do this. Thanks for the insight.

Afghanistan... military service?
Be careful over there!
A heartfelt "Thank you!" for your service.

I'd be happy to share any pictures of my Bush Hog installation you would want.

Thanks. I would love to have the tech information and/or pictures of what I am about to take on as a project. Pictures would be the most helpful because i have seen very few even online here and my ordered manual has failed to show up and I fear it has become MIA.
I work for a military contractor here in Salerno.

Thanks
