Two tractors..both Mitsubishi. MT160D 4WD with a Brush Cutter. The other is a MT1601 4WD with a loader
I’ve purchased a tractor with a 48” rotary Texas Belton Continental “Bush Hog”. I think its about 15 or 20 years old. I do not have a Manuel with the machine and would like to know what type oil to use if needed in the transfer case on the rear and also what other maintenance may be required.
Thanks, Jerry S.

My routine maintenance chores on the rotary cutter are to keep gearbox filled with 80W-90 gear oil, keep tailwheel axle and pivot properly greased, sharpen blades periodically and make sure lift arm pins are tight. If I have missed anything, maybe someone else will post an additional reply.

What JeffRey said with the addition that my hog (Ford 951B) calls for the use of a semi-pourable grease such as Mobilith EP 023, or any other EP "000" grease. Hope this helps!
