Bush hog parked over moist dirt"

Stored mine outside over 10 yrs. Parked it under an old truck cap that was stored on a rack, so i could back under to install. Used concrete blocks under front of mower to keep it out of the dirt.

Keeping it dry is always the key. Just putting a tarp over things may hurt more then help. It can keep moisture in. Air flows helps a lot. Up off the damp dirt, with some air flow.
I have stored stuff outside for years, trying to keep it up off the dirt. But there is not much that can beat a good shed (and it up off the dirt). I have plans in the future to build another 40 by 60.

I agree all the tarp will do is create a waterproof barrier above the RC and keep condensation in, as well as create a safe haven for critters. Based on my experience all a tarp will do is keep dust and debris off.

I have tarps on everything to keep the rain and snow off. When we get a dry sunny spell though I go out and take them partially off to allow air circulation and let the moisture subside.
