Bush hog SQ172

I am buying a bush hog for the L45 , SQ172. Do you think this is to big for the L45 or should I go with the SQ160 instead. I will be mowing mostly fields and with over grown grass and light brush.

A good rule of thumb for rotary cutters is 5 h.p. per foot of cutting width. So if you went with the 5 foot Bush Hog then you would need 25 PTO h.p. and 30 h.p. for the 6 foot. Hope this helps.

Yes it does My PTO hp is 32. So I should be ok. Thanks
