hey there,

I'm looking at a Bush-whacker MD-72 for just over $1,900. Is this a good price? is it worth the $$$

I'll be bush hoggin pasture, kudzu, road side behind a 40hp (at pto) tractor

I've never heard of the Bush-whacker brand. Is this some local outfit around you?

I paid less than that price for a brand new Rhino 172 rotary cutter, and Rhino is a known, established, quality brand, and I know parts will be available for many years if I need them. I wouldn't have that same comfort level with a brand I never heard of.

My boss bought 3 Bushwhacker batwings about 10 years ago and became a dealer because they were cheap. Kept one for his cutting business and sold the other two. Worst rotary cutter anyone here has ever had anything to do with. Heavy in all the wrong places, brittle gearbox shafts. parts are $$$. 2 of them are scrapped.
