Bushhog 5\' Squealer model

Anyone have any current price quotes on the 5’ light duty, Squealer series, Bushhog rotary mower? Just curious to see how competitive a new local dealer is.

Thanks,
MarkV

Re: Bushhog 5\' Squealer model

I got mine used so I cant help you out much. I do know that from looking at them for a while the Bush Hog is the Lincon, the and the Woods is the Caddy. Both are well built and command similar dollars.

The KK's are chebbies, or perhaps 1970's Fords since they come pre rusted /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Mine has a slight leak at the bearing where the PTO shaft is. I just went from gear oil to grease like most brush hogs over 5 years old /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif For as much as I use it, it will stay grease unless it gets real cold this winter and I get real bored. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

5 ft. Squealer solid rubber tire (not laminated) with shear bolt in Fayetteville, GA $849.00. This is new from the local JD dealer.

Hope this helps......

Re: Bushhog 5\' Squealer model

Personally If I were going to buy a Bush Hog brand cutter I would want one that had a slip clutch!

Re: Bushhog 5\' Squealer model

I bought my SQ600 in February of this year. That is one tough cutter!! I don't at all regret not getting a slip-clutch. I have cut trees in half with the shear pin model.

The only regret I have is I wish I would have got the SQ720, which is the same as mine but a 6ft cutting width.

February 05' ........Singleton Sales & Service...........Franklinton, Louisiana...............Bush Hog SQ600 shear pin..............with tax........$890.00

Like I said, I have NO complaints with the Squealer. BUT If I were to buy again, I would probably buy a Bush Hog model 286, If they still make em'. Hopefully, I won't have to worry about that for a long long time.

Hope this helps,
Travis

Thanks all, locally it was priced at $895 so it looks like they are in line with other dealers.

$1,195 - $1,095 here in Maryland. Unbelievable. I'm getting a Razorback shipped from Corriher in NC for $250 less than i can buy it locally!!!
