Busted Tractor lean wallet

Hi I am a 57 yr old guy who earned his living as a professional laborer mostly running a jackhammer in a verticle position inside the kilns of the steele mills in northern MN. I then was promoted to superintendent. After 33 yrs in this industry and to much injury of mind and body I have returned to my roots, farning. My wife and I bought a small hobby farm on 20 acres. So far we have rabbits, geese, chickens and will be getting a couple of cows soon.
We stupidly purchased a Shibura 4 wheel drive tractor that was in excellent shape or so we thought and were told. We later found out the man disconnected the hour meters and pretty much sold these diesel tractors to inexperienced green wannabe farmers. We are stuck with a perfectly good tractor except for the motor. So if anyone has any information on where we could find one it would be greatly appreciated. We have so much into this tractor now that if I can't fix it I will have the most expensive lawn ornament in history and a black eye with my wife so to speak.
Meantime my wonderful wife found us a Allis Chalmer WD yr 1950. It is a nice old friend already.

Sorry to hear about the problem you've on your hands. No fun, even if the wallet isn't lean.

Hope you find an engine for the Shibura. (I can't even pronounce it ) Much easier to say Allis Chalmers

Is there also a tractor called Subaru ? Maybe a different country of origin.

Sorry to hear of your plight. The small Ford series were made by Shibura (sp) lots of them!! That ought to broaden your parts base, but won't likely lower the price much. If it is possible to match up your tractor to its Ford re-badged cousin, at least that would give you a start.

An old WD will do a lot of work.

What do you think is wrong with the diesel (I assume)? Is it a fuel problem or something internally. It is going to best to get with someone locally that knows this engine. A lot of internet forums including this one can have helpful information.

First we need to know what it will not do. I assume it was running when you paid for it?

Everyone needs more info to help you. We all are victims of our choices. There probably is a good solution for you somewhere with the proper info. Is that WD a wide front? I remember that as a kid, WC was the narrow front. At least you have a tractor that runs!
