Buy or build 15 gal spot sprayer?

Here's a picture of my cheap set up I use to spray my (small) farm - I use the harbor freight 15 gallon sprayer with a $50 aftermarket boom. I added a 12v lighter plug, and just strapped it on a frame built by 2x4s. The only mods to the lawn tractor were a couple of extra supports to hold the weight. It pops on and off in a minute or two. We also use it as a spot sprayer.

Well, I went with the $79 Fimco sprayer at TSC and called it good. Will temp mount off the front "bumper" weight bracket on the front of my B7800 hydro to do around trees and dandelions. Heck, when I lived in Maine my lawn WAS dandelions. Down here the fields around me would be a problem if i let weeds get too far along. Everyone wants weed-free fields to boost yields.
The good news is, once a weed is dead and you keep them down it really cuts back on the problem. They really diminish in number.
Thanks to all.

Hey Guys, My first post. Great site and if it was me i'd just buy a 15 gal unit and add the gauge as one of you mentioned. I couldn't buy the components and build it myself for the 80 bucks it sells for.
I built a 60 Gallon unit using a sureflo pump (I think it is only about 1 1/2 gal a minute) , 50 gallon graduated tank, (6) spray nozzles mounted on 2 booms to spray at 20-30 psi. The pump can handle another nozzle, but I run a line back from the manifold to the tank for agitation and to keep the pressure where I want it without the pump cycling on and off. I spray 2-4-D on my 5 acre lawn at about 4 miles an hr. in a 7' wide pattern, and spray nozzles about 18" off the ground. By the way for what it's worth, 3 quarts of 2-4-D to 60 gallons is perfect weed and dandelion control for my place.
The spray booms are hinged and spring returned so if I accidentally hit a tree or other imoveable object I don't break anything. Works great, and I added a 5" guage and it lets me know if I run out of mix, or if the screens in the spray heads are getting blocked. I previously built a 50 gallon unit using a transulcent plastic barrell and it worked just fine as well.
I will attempt to load a photo of it when I figure out how to do it. My photos don't have an url, so I will try to figure out how to post them. Is there a maximum file size on jpegs like on other forums?

Sorry for the only photo of the sprayer and it's sitting behind the manure spreader I built. I'm getting ready for lawn work next week and will get a better photo and post.
