kioti CK2510
Hello everyone

I've read some interesting threads here and wanted to comment to see if I can get any advice or do's and dont's about a Kioti 2510HST. I am buying a second hand one with 150hrs. I'm happy about the hours because less chance of the machine being exhausted or having problems.

I once read up somewhere that a good check for a tractor (I think it was with Kubota) you can take the front loader and lift the front end of the tractor to show its force and hydraulics are in good shape. I did this with this Kioti 2510HST and it did not lift the front end. However I realized that this beast is like hundreds of pounds heavier than the Kubota. I have tested all the attachements on it and all seems fine.

I didn't see a cap for the PTO in the back for when I do not have an attachement to cover the shaft. This cap looks to have screws to screw this in on both sides and I just can't find anything online... frustrating...

My plans since its close to 200hrs is to flush all fluids and change, tranny, engine, hydraulics oils w/ filters, new air filter and flush coolant.

Any other ideas or comments or anything else I am interested for any advice. Thanks all!

Guy

Welcome to TBN....:welcome:

Your profile does not indicate a generic location. So the folks nearest you would be able to provide the best help.

However, I do like Tractor Mike. He's pretty straight forward guy and may even make mention of a few item that might help you.

Good luck on your search. BTW, fluid R&R is just good business. It gives you a baseline of starting out fresh. When draining the old fluid keep an eye out for metal. Is it a lot, big chunks, gray fine powdered material from normal milling and wear in, etc. Just to get an idea of how the HST is broken in

Others will jump in soon.....enjoy your stay at TBN....

Your loader SHOULD be able to lift the tractor. Tractor Data shows the weight of that tractor at 2260 pounds. They put my Kubota L2501 at 2400 to 2600 pounds depending on options. In order to lift the tractor with the bucket you may have to rotate the bucket away from you to get more height or hydraulic fluid may be a bit low or the pressure could be set low. You could also check the lift rating of the loader. My LA 525 loader is rated about 1150 pounds.

thank you for commenting

I did not pivot the bucket downwards, the bucket was flat so maybe I was at the end of the hydraulic. I will try pivot the bucket downwards and push down with the laoder to see if it will lift.

It is intereting your say hydraulic fluid low. I checked the transmition fluis stick which is at the back of your left foot I beleive and the stick was dry. It needs to be topped off obviously, but is this the same as the hydraulic fluid? I'm looking at the book online and I don't see another place it talks about hydraulic fluid it only combines both saying ( Hydraulic (Trans / Diff. ) Fluid. Are these the same? because if its low this could be why MAYBE the hydraulics aren't at its optimal.

The owners manual isn't awesome at understanding for a new guy...

Yes it was.
You need the bucket to be tilted down slightly and it should pick it right up.
