Buying an old dozer

I say the same thing, except mine weighs 40,000 pounds and requires a semi to transport. Then I hit them with a minimum $400 round trip for local delivery and return. So far, everybody has lost interest real quick then. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I'm sure that's true in many cases, but it sure wasn't true of the guys my brother and my neighbor used. I was just fascinated by those guys clearing timber and digging ponds, and when they show up on a job, they drive a dozer off the truck and never stop moving or get off of it until the job is finished or they quit for the day. I don't know how a guy can keep one of those things moving for 8 to 10 hours without ever taking a break of any kind, but they sure did.

Buy a much bigger dozer /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Then I need a much bigger trailer & tow vehicle to drag the machine off to the shop when I break it - easier than taking it apart.

I have a 60 year old aunt who drives the dozer mid winter logging - she complains the heated cab tractor is to tall, tippy & slides sideways on trails.

She just clanks around in the snow fields & trails stops before getting too close to house or barns...
