prus: I did somethign similar a while back but now as it goes the epa is cracking down. not a good thing for the small buisness or the guy wanting to make a few bucks...
anyhow some dealers will sell you a crate full at a price and do all the paperwork as well as import them. I'm not essing up any names though as I don't want to put anyone of them on the spot one way or other.
you can get a farmpro dealership and buy from them only takes some knolage and signing some papers and maintaining records well enough to suit them & anyone who may come asking questions.
Think the key is to get a good broker. They charge you a flat rate based upon your purchase price and they take care of all the paperwork and including US Customs which can be a bear.
I wouldn't be discouraged from importing, it sounds a lot more intimidating than it really is.
What would I have to do to buy a lot of Jinma's or something for re-selling?Would also like to get attachments and parts.
We had a neighbor dealer that Sold 6 and 3 had serious problems and one of the 3 could not be fixed because of a design issue. Perfect way to ruin your reputation or other businesses. Stay as far away as you can from China products for a few years. I am sure they will be better in 5 years or so?--Ken Sweet
We have been selling these tractors for years with NO major problems, most of the problems are from poor assembly, not changing chinese fluids,Importing has been a little more of a challenge due to customs, EPA,If you are wanting to do a 1-time deal by thru a dealer. If you are wanting to do long term contact me thru a Private message and I will hook you up with someone that will take care of you. These chinese tractors are great for someone that does not mind turning a wrench ,parts are readly avaliable, extended warrantys, financing, ect at half the cost of the Big Three.Almost all of the compact tractors are being imported from overseas even the Big Three. Some of the chinese implements are good and some not so good, Let me know if you decide you want more information
We purchased a new Chinese tractor and used it for 5 years before we upgraded to more HP. It was a neat tractor and was built like a tank for a lot less $$$$$. It was easy to maintain, fact is it was never in any shop other than our own pole barn.
My new Holland TC-40D has had more issues in a year and a half than that Chinese model did in 5 years so I wouldn't bad mouth them.
