buying mx5100, remote hydraulics? now or later

IM buying a mx5100 this week and am thinking about remote hydraulics. How hard are they to install later? there expensive from kubota and i'm not going to need them right away.

Eventually i want to put a grapple on top of my bucket and have hydraulics to run a splitter or our 8ft disk in the back. Not sure what comes with it or what i would need.

also im not getting the backhoe yet i'm waiting until I have the money but should i get it plumed for the backhoe now or does it come already backhoe ready?

id go ahead an have all the remotes you want now insted of waiting.the longer you wait the more they could go up in price.

ok ill probably get a remote in the back and one on the FEL so i can add a thumb grapple.

also which bucket is better/bigger stronger? square or round back?

i cant tell you that because i cant remember what my bucket is.but id get the heay bucket if your gonna do alot of digging.

I would check with your dealer. Ask him how much the remotes would cost now vs. having them install them later. Some dealers charge labor to install options on a new tractor while others don't. Plus if you're going to finance at 0% then adding them now could mean a real savings (either money if they don't charge you labor when you buy or time if you install it yourself later).

The HD bucket is the round back...well worth it.

thanks for the help. ill probably get the remotes if they help me out on price or ill install them myself later.

ill go for the HD round bucket probably, its about double the cost with bolt on edge.

I have the HD round back on my 5030 and am sure glad I do, very tough and hold up well in hard use. I have been moving 6" stone and brick piles and not a bend or nick.

rjlkobbeman has a thread on adding 3rd function valves and I think he saved quite a bit over buying it with his tractor.

i went to another dealer today on got another quote, pretty close but i liked this dealer better. I had him quote the HD bucket and a rear and front remote.

do you have a link to his thread i cant find it, thanks!
