I am going to pull the trigger on a new JD 4105 next week; just waiting on the trade-in value on my JD4110. I'm getting an H165 FEL, MX6 cutter/shredder, and having them add a third SCV Kit so I can use a grapple.

My 4110 has the JD quick connect (iHitch?). Makes hooking up the shredder a snap. The salesman gave me the impression it's not really needed and attaching the MX6 is no big deal. He already has the sale, so he's trying to save me money. I've never hooked up an attachment without one.

How easy is it to attach w/o the quick connect? I don't take the shredder off a lot, but when I do, I don't want to spend 30 minutes if I can do it in 5. If you have one, is it worth it? If you don't and once did, do you miss it?

Also, I've read complaints the seat ain't the world's most comfy. Something about only two springs, needs more. Is there a seat upgrade, and is it worth it?

Thanks! This is the first new tractor I've ever bought, after two used ones. It's my retirement present to myself.

Hooking up bush hogs are never easy I don't care what anyone says. Get the quick hitch and have all your implements set up to use it. You'll be much happier.

Just to be clear, this is a third-party quick hitch? And it fits any tractor? And the implements fit it as is?

It sure is a lot less than the JD version!

I-match will fit all John Deere and Frontier equipment from what I understand. There are other brands but I'm not real familiar with them.

Careful with saying "quick hitch" on this forum....it links it automatically to Pat's easy change system...kind of Chicken **** if you ask me.

astrochip,
If you already have the IMatch hitch on your 4110 why not keep it and reuse on the new tractor?

I prefer the original IMatch hitch to the new style with the adjustable top hook. I have an IMatch for each tractor and they are the same from the garden tractor to the compact 4520.

You can live without a quick hitch if your implements are stored on rolling dollies on a concrete slab. I have telescoping links but rarely use them.

I was going to do that, but thought the new style would be easier to use. Why do you prefer the old style?

I have concrete also (previous owner built it as an RV shed, but it's a perfect tractor garage). Do you have any pics? I'm curious how the dollies & implements work together.
