I have a post going in the Massey forum but thought I’d get opinions here where there are more eyes. Deeply discounted new old stock, like 1.5 or more years sitting at dealer. My only experience was buying an m59 that sat for 2 years back in 2010. That tractor lost both hydro pumps at 75 hr, one probably caused the other, but still.. that tractor had signs of age, rims where a little faded at bottom from not being moved. This tractor has no aging signs. Has been moved around and used to set up attachments and had 9hr on it. New battery/oil/filter and huge discount.
Tractor is 4710 Massey. I have been shopping hard and I could get the same thing but fresh for about $10k more. The cheapness in me is going crazy with the logical me.

And no, I ain’t buying an old magnum 5.9😝

Warranty should start at purchase, so you have that.

Probably be hard for me to justify the later year model if it was the same and $10k more.

Overall, year model matters less than hours & condition in the long run.

I've been hunting for a 1950's or 1960's NOS tractor stored inside that would be sold for 1950's prices. But unfortunately I haven't found one yet. :(

I wouldn't worry too much about a tractor that has been sitting for a couple of years, although has it been sitting outside and exposed to the elements? It is possible that water would have gotten into places where it shouldn't be and would cause you future nightmares.

Start it up and run it around the dealer lot a few times. Does everything seem to be working fine with no leaks? Perhaps get an agreement with the dealer that you'll have a week with it once you get it home to put it through its paces and make sure everything is working right.

Couple things..

full warranty starts at date of purchase.
i drove down the road, not just on the lot, just like a car Test drive. All good, still has that intoxicating new car smell.

Since dealer has been moving it around and if understand your post hooking up implements I would be far less concerned than if it had not been used or started in two years.
