Buying Tires and Rims on New Tractor

Hi Everyone

I had to pay for my tires and rims with the purchase of my new Kubota,
I ordered the R4s front and back, and asked If I get the stock AG tires for spairs. Suprise Suprise, They stated a tractor does not come with tires, you have to pick the ones you want and Pay? I almost fell off my chair,I couldnt believe what I was hearing. They say diffrent tire diffrent rim sizes, bla, bla, bla.
I am probaly getting the shaft, If anyone knows diffrent please let me no they are delivering the tractor onFriday so I still have time. Thanks Tom

The price of the tires selected has been included in every tractor quote I've ever gotten. I think they are finding a way to tell you one price, and then charge you another........ and I think that is pretty unethical. I would run from that deal, and dealer......
Just my opinion of course.

If you look at the "Features" of your tractor on the Kubota site, it will tell you what tires are standard. Example is the 2350 comes with turf but you can exchange for bar or R4---no money. You need a new dealer!!

I totally agree with toytruck and ChuckinNH. If they can't be forth right at the sale of the tractor, what will they do after the sale and service is needed. I would like to be like them and say run don't walk, but that is very hard for ya now your expecting a new toy in a few days and I'm sure you don't want to go looking again knowing that. Best of luck in what ever you decide to do. I got my fingers crossed that everything works out for ya.

Sometimes all it takes is to click on little red triangle to report the post and I don't know if they have thread merge feature here? I have seen locked threads in the past

I don't agree you are getting ripped off, from what I read it sounds like you expected to get two sets of tires for the price of one. That's just not how it works the tractor is priced and if you select a different tire option than standard you pay the difference.

I think Huntthomas is saying that he expected some kind of tires to be included in the basic tractor price, and I think in the case of the L2800 R-1 tires are. He is being asked to pay the full retail price of the tires he chose in addition to the price of the tractor with the standard tires. If the dealer wants to do this, I would expect to see some credit itemized on the quote for the standard tires. It is quite normal to expect to pay the difference between the tires listed by Kubota as standard, and more expensive tires chosen, but not the full retail price.
