Yanmar 187D Terramite T5C Bush Hog D4-10
Hey guys....I am new to this game....have a small yanmar 4X4 and wanting to add some implements.

I will use this personally on a track of land....tend to take care of my things so none of this will be abused.....

I have found 3 implements that I can buy for $1000

1 42" king kutter rotary cutter
1 4' scraper blade
1 post hole digger with two drill bits

I am sure all the implements are low to mid range quality.....keep in mind no commmercial stuff for me.

this a good deal??

thanks,

sacsr

My $.02. The scraper is too small for your tractor, as it will barely cover your rear tire tracks when straight. Most people use a scraper at an angle for moving dirt or snow, which means it won't even cover your tracks. You might want something several feet larger for cleaning out ditches, etc. Scraper blades are the easiest of the 3 to find used, and can usually be found pretty cheap, esp if your willing paint an older one. Same with the cutter, your tractor will easily run a 4 ft cutter. Nothing wrong with a smaller one, esp. if you don't have much mowing to do, but it makes it very hard to cut along a fence, for example, when the mower is narrower than your tractor. I've never used a post hole digger, I'll leave that to someone else. If it were me, I'd pass on this deal and wait till I found exactly what I wanted. BTW, I know how you feel with no implements, I just got my Yanmar this summer and am slowly adding to my implement collection. But there are plenty of deals to be had, and you could buy new light duty implements from Tractor Supply for not too much more money.

PHD with 2 bits is 300-500 depending on HP of gearbox

4' rear blade should be no more than 150
4' rotary cutter should be 200-400 depending on condtion

to put things in persective

i bought my 5' ford straight back brush hog for $150
i bought my 6' RB3572 rear blade for $75
I bought my 5' no name box blade for $250 (new but old left outside for a few years stock)
I bought my PHD with one bit for $200

If there is a Craig's List for your area, try watching it regularly. Use search function for your specific attachment needs.

agreed, just used Search Tempest myself, it's awesome for locating those more rare and unique items you are willing to drive a ways to obtain...ahhhh, I love the tools now available on the net.... sooooo much money can be saved by locating what you need without driving all over or making a bunch of phone calls.
