Pretty sure this is not practical, so tell me again anyway. Say I find a good used B or BX with a FEL but want a 60" MMM and a BH.

Examples:

2012 Kubota 2920 tractor

Kubota BX2660

Just not $$$$ practical to add these attachments later compared to buying new and need to finance, is it?

Thanks

Adding a backhoe 'aftermarket' is expensive. MMM is fine.

So far in my searches looking at used, then factoring in a BH, it is just $2,000 less than buying a brand new tractor that already comes with a backhoe, that has a warranty, and that can be financed.

With patience you can make it work when the stars align and you see the ad within minutes and no one else does and you have cash.

I've decided to bite the bullet and go new.

You are limited as to the back hoe for the BX. The Kubota factory back hoe cannot be added after the fact. You can add an aftermarket model from someone like Woods but chances of finding a used one to fit your tractor would be pretty lucky and new they run around 6 grand. The B series doesn't have this issue as far as I know but I am not that familiar with that line. Mowing decks are a completely different story, they are readily available for either tractor.

Good luck!

If you are not legally a farmer (IRS Schedule F) you will have a problem financing a used tractor at a decent interest rate , if you can even find a lender. I looked at used stuff for a year, could find no financing except a 19% personal loan. Even credit union said no deal. Used prices for decent equipment were only 10-15% under new. Bought a BX 25 and 5 implements for $0 down, $0 interest for 5 years. Why tie up your cash, you can make more with it elsewhere. K dealer would not even provide a discount for cash on the new one. I looked at the smaller Bs and decided the BX would do almost as much at less money. BX the BH is included, on the B's it is extra plus install fee. That was my experience and recommendation if you do not need more than a 30 HP tractor. I am extremely pleased with my BX 3 years and 1000 Hrs later.
