So the class of skip loaders that I want to get are the JD 210LE, 545D, and Terex 650 (MF 650B and Fermec 650b). My budget is about $14k with $500 to deliver to my property.

Recently, I started to research buying through auctions and this is what I've noticed:

As you can see, the prices at auctions have gone down considerably.
If this is the trend, can I expect to get one for under $10k before fees and taxes?

From a private party, in good condition, with about 2K hours, No cab 4x4 with 3pt and pto no hoe, about $10K I would say. If you are going to comercial sites or sellers, the price will be alot higher. I have been looking for about 2 months and finally got one. $9K delivered. If it has a cab, the price will be somewhat higher. The price I am talking about would be for a machine in the mid to late 90's. Ford 545D I had to look in a 5 hour radius from my house.
Depending on who you know, or use to deliver, you might still be able to fit a 5 hour trip in your delivery budget. In my limited personal experience, 4-5 hours will run you about 500-600 dollars. Tractor movers | Tractor Shipping | Tractor Transport Quotes - 800-462-0038 quoted me $590 for a 5 hour delivery from Michigan to Erie PA. (you have to call them and ask them as their website is annoying) I talked to other "local" people that quoted me $500.
I spent time looking through classifieds online from the areas close to me. I also looked at craigslist and ebay. there are tools you can donwload to make the craigslist search go a little faster. you will have to google it as I did it the "normal" way. This was my experience in my search. Maybe I got lucky but If you spend the time searching, you will come across some great deals.

Hope This helps

In California, I'm sure they are not building new homes the way it used to be.

Hence, I'm expecting more auctions selling skip loaders and such.

I hoping for about $10k before tax and auction fees to get a 70-80 HP skip loader with loader and scrapper/digger attachments.

Too much to ask for the price?
