I test drove a BX 1800 a few days ago and one thing that I noticed was that when the engine was idling, the hood shook quite vigorously. When it was throttled up some, it was smoothed out nicely. I have no previous experience with the BX tractors, and was wondering if this is normal? My Dad has a 1225 MF that I've spent some time on, so I do have at least something to compare to. The Massey is smooth no matter what RPM it's running, so the hood shaking like it did on the BX kind of surprised me. Also, this tractor had almost 7 hours on it. Is it still considered "new"? I know that's not a lot of hours for these tractors, but it seems like quite a bit for a "new" tractor. Any non-flaming input is appreciated.
