BX1870 54 inch deck and FEL
I can get a bx 1800 that wont barly move for a decent price with 4-500 hrs
first question I figure it is the hydo pump your thoughts??
2nd question it has a loader but no deck how much will a deck cost me?
3ed question what is it worth?

Hydro pump is a possibility as well as blocked lines, filter, etc....
If it is the hydro pump it could be a very expensive fix so the price would really have to be right.
Giving a value is tough with out knowing the rest of the machine and with possibility of a bad pump so I can't really help on that.
New decks are VERY pricey - think somewhere around 1500-2000 (off the top of my head) but used ones are all over the place. Seen them in decent shape for $100 and up but the hard part is getting the entire assembly and the correct model for your specific machine.
Good luck

Do you plan on fixing it yourself or paying to have it done? If I was paying to have it fixed, I'd have to get it for less than $1000. It I was fixing it my self, maybe a little more but still less than $2000. I'm not sure on the mower deck, you might be able to still get one through Kubota. Brand new a deck might be $2500, but that's a guess.

Im Planing on fixing it my self, i thought it would be a way for me to step up to a 4x4 real yard tractor for a price i can deal with. I was told the pump is like $1500 but the brake down i seen the pump is a gear pump I cant see how a gear pump can be shot around 400 hrs. I was thinking maybe a suction/ oil pick up line may be cracked and sucking air not oil. either way i see them selling for 6-9 K with 1000 + hrs i thought if i got it for around $3,500 i would be good.

I'd look at it this way, say you pay $3500 for it. $2000 to fix it. $2500 for a mower deck, then you have $8000 in it. Not a terrible deal but not great. On the other hand it might be a $100 fix. I just think I'd assume the worse.

yea it is gamble any way you look at it. I figure on finding a used deck for 800-1200, 1500 to fix if it takes a pump then i have 6200 in a 400 hr machine. that dont look to bad, if i get it we will see. He is asking 3900 i dont see me going over 3500 unless it is a spotless machine.

I took delivery 8:30 am today and I used it to move some snow piles behind my house until the ground started to get soft (didn't want to tear up the yard) But what a nice unit. I may get the grad for the grill i like it. Yours looks just like mine lol i guess it is time to set up a sig with a pic now that i have a real tractor.
