I last changed hydraulic fluid in 2009. For a number of reasons, I have only put 115 hours on my BX-22 since then. I know fluid should be changed every 300 hours but is it also time sensitive? Should I change hydraulic fluid now even though it only has 115 hours on it but is 5 years old?

I wouldn't, unless It has some contamination/water in it.
Not particularly worried about the 300 hour change either.
That's just my opinion, if makes you feel better, change it...

I doubt that it would have degraded over that period unless the system somehow became contaminated.
As bajabum stated, change it if it means you will sleep better.

The only reason to consider changing is because you wish to improve performance by using some super, new, the World's Best, liquid gold and priced-to-match fluid.
