BX 2200 60\" MMM Adjustment

My deck will not lock in the Top position after getting it back from the dealer to "fix" the adjustment knob. To make a long story short, I need to know what is the distance on the left and right side of the mover deck for the lift link. If you look on page 11 of the manual for the deck, it is diagram in the top right side number G-5625C. The part that screws up and down, in the diagram number 1-2. Mine is adjusted so section 2 is tight to 1. What is the gap in inches from part 1-2 on your tractor on both sides?

Dealer is 2 hours away and I am trying to avoid the dealer driving the distance, and keeping my tractor for a few weeks until he has other customers to deliver to in my area. Other wide I would tell him you broke it you fix it!

From memory, I'd guess that I have a gap of 1/2" to 3/4". Most likely the the lift arms cannot raise high enough to allow the deck to be locked into the "top" position. Pull the clevis pins and screw each side out a few turns and try the putting it in the top postion again. I'd also perform all the setup measurements/steps for leveling the deck after doing this.

One other thing to check: The lift control has an automatic centering when the lift is fully up. If this is not quite adjusted right, the lever will center before the fully up position. Mine is like that, and the knob will not go to "TOP" unless I hold the lever in the UP direction. The deck will lift another inch or so on mine and then I can select "TOP". I have not gotten around to readjustion the UP setting of the control yet, so just holding the lever for that last inch does the trick.

Thanks guys, made the adjustment yesterday, after a lot of playing with the I got it to work, I can now lock the deck in the "Top position". Boy what a pain that was, had to undo both sides at least 15 times before I got the correct height and it locks. Only problem is now is the deck setting is off, when I put it on 3 inches its about 2 ¾ inch. Guess I will just have to live with it now. Now if I can only get someone to answer my snow blower question…. LOL
