Rodeny, there have been some few issues, most takern care off on later produced BX's and the others handled by warranty or service oreders. These to my knowledge are a 1. sticky hydro pedal on some early BX's--fix was to install a grease fitting and all new BX's have them 2. Leaking fuel header/collector tank--repair was done under a service order again on early BX's and replaced the tank with a heavier version 3. Hood rattles at low idle--not an issue--give it some gas--it is not a Lexus. 4. Hydro whine--this is normal -for all hydro tractors--ALL. 5. 3-point would not accept some cat 1 implements-- I suggest buying smaller implements --fix was a minor redesign that somewhat helped the arms to spread wider. 6. most of the other problems have been owner ignorance, not reading the manuals, improper use and or faulty expectations. There are a few other minor issues and I am sure I forgot something--bottom line is there are NO issues with the BX that should make you squemish about purchasing one. Most of the BX guys really like their tractors and you will too--come on--get one and you will see. Besides, I, acting high priest of the BX cult, need reinforcements /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif .
The main problem with the BX is that it has smaller wheels and tires which give it a low wide stable stance and therefore some guys insist it is not a tractor but a lawnmower. In other words--to quote Rodney Dangerfield--can't get no respect.
You will find the BX fun to operate, stable, manuverable, sturdily built and quite powerful within reasonable expectations. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif .J
