Oil & Fuel BX 2200 Gas Tank Leaking

I have been looking thru the forums and have found many post for the dreaded leaking gas tank on a Kubota BX 2200 tractor. If the tank is filled over 1/2 way it will leak on the left hand side. The links seem to be dead within these posts and I wondered would any have links to what parts and if they exist steps or how-to-videos on making this repair?

That was subject of a recall. Try your dealer as they may still honor as it is an environmental concern. When I had a 2200 they came to my house and fixed it but I wasn't there so I don't know what they did but was told it takes but a few minutes

It has been a few years since i had that problem & there was a fuel sensor & gasket kit that had an improved mount on the fuel tank. I cannot remember the part numbers exactly, but try
Sensor, Fuel K2561-61370 & Gauge Gasket 6A100-54790 Kubota dealers should be able to reference a part number if this doesn't match up.
Also try part # K2561-96132

For what it's worth I received my kit about 8 or 9 years ago & it was covered under some sort of recall. After this amount of time you may want to call Kubota headquarters customer service & see if they will still honor a replacement.

The dealer said this was never part of a recall or replacement...it cost me about 25 dollars and a few hours of time. I ended up having to use some gasket sealant in order to stop all the leaking even with the new part but now I have a mower that's not leaking at least. I wish I could leave someone tips and tricks to make this easier on them, but I don't have any and hope I don't have to repair this again lol...Thanks again for everyone's input.

For what it is worth, the dealer is full of BS. No reason to pursue it, however. It is fixed and probably better than the dealer would do.

You may want to be careful about relying on the dealer.

Agreed...sounds like the dealer is not one to go the extra mile. Think I would be trying to find someone else to use!

So, what exactly did you do and what did you need to buy? I recently bought a BX2200 that has the same leak above 3/4 talk, as per the PO. I've been filling it to 3/4 and haven't experienced a leak, but it is allegedly there - might as well fix it if I can, since I hate having to worry about over-filling. Please elaborate - thanks.
