Bx 2200 Grill Guard

I forgot to add the grill guard when I purchased the FEL (I must admit I thought it was part of the FEL sub-frame) and I now find myself ready to go back and buy it from the dealer. I always have to work those guys to get a fair price, and I was wondering if some of you BX owners would share what you paid for the Guards on your tractors? If it is too much, I guess I'll have to talk my brother the welder into making one. Thank You.

I bought an L1794 grill guard from Fiser Truck and Tractor in AK (800-776-4069) ask for Carl. The L1794 guard fits the L2500 tractor and it cost me $215 and you can not make one for that price. But why pay $215 when you can make it your self for $500. If you have the steel already, all you have to do is spend two days cutting, welding, grinding, and bending to fit. And another day sand blasting, and painting and cleaning up the mess you made. Or just leave it in natural rust-earth color. Or better yet you could buy my rig for $19,000 complete. It already has a grill guard. KUBOTA L2500DT, 1998 with 130 hours, like new. LA450S-1 Loader, BL4690 Backhoe, L1794 Grill Guard, Land Pride AT-25-72 finishing mower, Modern 5' Box Blade. LA450S-1 front loader is the HD commercial loader for the L2500DT. BL4690 Backhoe was bought new in fall 1999 and was used less than 25 hrs. 1999 Heavy Duty 16' pipe top utility trailer with fold down ramps and electric brakes. Mower, bought used, could use new blades and belt. Everything else like new. Was going to use on property in MS but deal fell through.
