BX 2230 Fuel pump noise

My Dad was bush hogging and when he stopped he could hear the fuel pump with the key on and the engine off.

He also said it was hot to touch.

He has 400 hours on the tractor .

Any thoughts on the noise or the heat??

On my BX, the pump is running while preheating, engine off, key on. I'd say its normal for 2230 too. I'd imagine it would be hot due to heavy use so I wouldnt worry too much about it. I'd just have to check mine.

The issue is the noise is 10 x louder than it ever was .

Do these pumps go bad internally?

My BX is the same, pump runs when preheating, audible clicking, have never checked for heat, will have to do so.I have 1500 hours on my BX.
