BX-23 60 mmm pins disconnecting in use

Hi:

Twice now I have had 1 or both of the deck link pins unhook themselves during use. Once mowing in transport position and last night at 4" setting. Going thru fairly tall grass. Also did couple years ago plowing snow with deck on. Think I am getting some build up of grass/snow and that take weight off deck and spring pins snap out. Thinking about zip tying
pins in place. Anybody else have this problem or a better solution?

We've not seen any problems with this but you are a little unique in what you are doing.
You must be putting the deck into high enough position that it is the cause. Are the clip pins nearby when this happens ot are you shearing the main pins?

Sounds like I'm having the same problem with the 48'' MMM on my BX1500.
The right deck link pin unhooks itself during use.
It's happened 5 or 6 times.

I have a BX23 with the 60'' MMM and that's never happened with it in 5 years of ownership.

No These pins are spring loaded at the back of deck and go into the lift arms. They just unsnap and let rear/side of deck drop to ground. No damage just deck on ground/closer to rear wheels. Get on flat spot, unhook front deck latch, drop lift arms, wiggle/align deck and arms and resnap, good to go. Hopefully it will resolve itself as now got grass back down to 3-4 inch height. was late getting deck on/first cut in AUG. needed a hog and a bailer!!

Guess I'm not the only one will recheck that L pin is all the way in.

perhaps the springs are weak or pins very dirty and sticky causing it not to go all the way in ?

The new B's have a hair pin that prevents the deck pin from coming out all the way. In goes into a hole where the spring is. You have to remember to take them out to remove the mower deck.
