BX - 23
Hi guys,

I have 94 hours on my BX-23 since Sept. 16'th... Love this little thing. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Please advise:
I was looking for a Back Blade for snow.
I know the Wood's Estate Series will fit sub-compacts, but I've had trouble locating one.
I was kinda talked into a Landpride which I said ok to & ordered skid shoes to go with it. I was told that the Land Pride will fit the BX with no foolin around with linkage etc., to make it fit.
Is this true??
Does anyone have a Landpride # RB1560 on their BX? It's 60" long & made for Cat 1. Dealer says no problem, that's why we sell them....
I trust you guys & hope you have good news for me.
Thank's guys, Paul /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I have a Land Pride RB1560 on my BX-1500. It fits perfectly. The only minor problem "I" have is the blade doesn't lift quite as high as I would like, probably a combination of small diameter wheels and large blade for the size tractor. I'm thinking about drilling another hole in the lift link to get it a bit higher. I wish we would get some snow to move around, I'm getting tired of moving the gravel on the driveway.

I have a 5 foot Walco blade on my BX. It's a cat 1 but works fine on my machine. Excellent for snow removal.

I bought a Kioti RB22-60 rear blade for my BX23 and it has worked out great. I looked at a few of the others available out there and went with the Kioti because it was only Midwest manufactured blade I could get in orange to match the tractor. The Midwest/Kioti/Corriher RB22-60 blade are all the same thing - all manufactured by Midwest. I liked the tilt/swivel/offset features and it was the heaviest blade of all the ones I looked at too. The only drawback was that I had to make some custom extensions to lower the mount points so the blade would lift high enough on the BX 3pt. With the extensions it lifts more than high enough and works great on the BX. I got mine at Ken's Tractor and truck up in Keene NH. Picture is attached of the extensions

I have a bx-2200 and an RB 1560, I also was very disapointed in the lift height, so I unbolted the toplink plate on the blade, blocked up the blade about 6-8 inches with the lower arms connected and played around with the position of the top link plate until I found the right spot that left me the height I desired and some adjustment on the toplink arm of the 3ph. It ended up I was able to use one of the top link plate mounting bushings, and the other one I simply made from piece of sch 40 pipe and welded it on. This way if I ever sell the blade (as in aquire a front blade) it is still usable in its "factory form".

I have a landpride 1560 for my BX 22 it fits. The frame where the pins are fitted into blade frame is a little large for the BX lift arms and some times if the top link is not adjusted right the frame of the blade will bind on the lift arms where the check chains attach to the lift arms. I don't have the blade on right now or I would send you a pic. It really is not a problem but if if you are a paint nut it scratches the paint off. Mine does not have enough paint left on it to worry about. I do not move snow but have moved a lot of dirt and cut some ditches. The blade is well built I think you will wear the tractor out before that blade. It is important to adjust the check chains where they have no slack. If not the blade has enough leverage it will break them. I have broken both of mine.

Thanks for the help guys.
I got it today & put it on. Had a little trouble fitting the lower arms to it but figured it out after a while..

I appreciate all the advice I can get,

( Make it as vertical as possible) so it won't dig into asphalt.

( Tighten the check chains ) so they don't break if it hangs up a bit.

It's a good rugged blade & I think it will work out fine for me.
On LandPride's website they say that the Landscape Rake will fit the same Blade Frame & will interchange.
Anyone know about that??? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I have a bx 2340, and a land pride 60" rear blade. The only problem is the 3pt doesn't lift it very high, though i think some people use Pat's Easy Change system to fix this.
