BX-23 MMM wont drop

Hi, I am asking this question for my Uncle. He has a new BX-23 with a MMM and has never used the MMM only the BH. He took the BH off and went to put on the MMM and it won't lower.

I told him about the 3pt knob and to make sure it was open, he thought it was. Is there a safety pin or something that has to be pulled before it will drop?

I can't look at it myself cause he is in another state.

He had to have lowered the lifting arms inorder to have installed the MMM so that would indicate that theres no mechanical reason it shouldn't drop.

I'll guess that the depth adj guage is either set to the top or the 4" position. The MMM won't drop if it is.
The lift arms work off of the 3PH so make sure theres nothing keeping the 3PH arms from dropping too.

Appearently I misunderstood...He had taken the BH off and was putting the mower on for the first time. He couldn't get the mower on because it would not drop.

It turned out to be a combination of the valve being closed and the 3pt being stuck a little bit. After opening the valve it still would not drop until he pushed down on the arms. He said is pushed down easy. Everything must be a little tight yet.
