I have a BX24 w/ R4s w/ chains. They're nothing special, got them w/ my machine from Wescott's in Gorham. Didn't have spacers originally but do now. Seems like LESS clearance with spacers as the chain nearer the center of the tire is under the fender edge. Just keep them tight. Ags w/ spacers would be a problem i would think.

I have used chains V-bar chains from Discount Tire Chains on my BX23 bar tires for three years. I bought the spring tensioners which do a good job of keeping them snug. They are not close to the fender, but I found that they were extreamly close to the inside frame and near the hydraulic lines, etc. I kept an eye on them and never had a problem with the chains rubbing...but like I said...they were close. This year I bought spacers from BroTec and they made all the difference in this tight fit. I read your other post where you slid on ice and I can tell you that I have been very secure with just the rear chains. All the difference in the world on the hill at the end of my drive, which is dirt/gravel. I will get the chance tomorrow with the storm expected in NY which predicts about a foot of snow in my area. Hopefully it will be fun for the first running of my new 2750D snowblower and soft cab I just installed. I say...get the chains...you won't regret it.

Got a heater in that cab?

It's a soft cab with ABS plastic roof from Original Cab Co.. I bought the optional glass front windshield and wiper for it and then painted the roof orange to match and put work lights on the front. The idea was to keep the flying snow from the snowblower off me and it does not have heat. I think the fact that the engine fan draws air from inside the compartment may help with defrosting. I've thought of the best way to add heat but have not come up with the ideal plan yet. I'll be testing it out later today.

looks like lbrown have been lusting for a cab and heater this year from all his posts he made. God knows why he has so many tractors. Just being Lbrown- he might end up putting a cab with heater and AC in each and every one of his tractors!:D:p
