How many hours can I expect to get on a set of Bar tires for my BX23? I put a big hole in one of the rear tires and had to get a goodyear bar tire to replace, Kubota dealer had no tires in stock and I needed right away. I now have 2 different tires on the rear, same size but different bar pattern. (Is that a problem?) I was going to get a replacement tire and wheel for the new one and keep the Goodyear for a spare, but I may not want to change just one if nearing age, I have around 80 hours on existing 3 tires.

I wouldn't think they would be too worn out by then, driving in the dirt doesn't wear them out quickly, but if you put a lot of road miles on them driving to neighbors jobs and such, they might wear out pretty quick.

Best thing to do is measure tread depth between yours and a brand new one.

I have had more trouble with the fronts on mine shale around here is tough. I plugge them a couple of times then I got a 3" rip in a front one I had it drop shipped from Kubota to my house by the dealer it was at my house in 2 days I slimed all 4 of them after that and knocking on wood havent had any problems after that.

At 543 hrs, my fronts (AG's/bar) are ~16/32 and the rears ~20/32 (fractions not reduced to make sense with tire tread gauge).
Measurements were taken at/near centerline of tread.
My soil is heavy clay with some decomposed granite. In winter it's slime and summer it's concrete. No solid shale or rock fields
I don't do "lawn" mowing but do some hogging and finish mowing on pasture.
I do quite a bit of earth moving and do plenty of spinning of the rear (with and without diff lock) and plowing of the fronts.
I was brain dead when I bought my BX and did not measure the tread height. I'd really appreciate a near-new measurement cuz I'd like to replace them at 50%-.
Cheers!

My 66 Bolens still has the original rear turfs.
The 67 Bolens has all 4 original turfs on it.

I have 437 hours on my bx 23 Ags.
No problems what so ever and no signs of wear.
