BX 24 3pt. hitch will only move up...not down:(

Well after owning my BX for almost three years now , I finally got a 48in box blade and removed the backhoe and installed my hitch only to find the thing won`t go down...only up!

Everything is hooked up and I`m at a loss...I`m guessing it`s from lack of use seeing how it`s an `05 that`s never had the backhoe off before , so it`s never been used.:confused2:

Any ideas guys?

Did you try adjusting the "rate of drop" knob ? It mat be all the way closed !!

May have to spray some penetrating oil on the shaft of the rate knob where it meets the gearbox to get it to turn if you have not turned it in a while.
