I have a BX24 with 15 hours. Fuel guage stopped working - when key turned guage bounces from empty to past full and stays there regardless of actual fuel level. Any ideas?

This problem was not uncommon on early BX24s. It will likely require replacement of the sending unit located on the fuel tank.

Personally, I wouldn't try to repair this myself even if I knew what to do to fix it. I would call your dealer and have it repaired under warranty. This will also document the problem if the issue ever arises again. Too few hours on your tractor for this to happen.

Good advice, I was hoping to avoid having to haul to dealer but you are correct about having dealer take care of the problem.

Thats cause by the gauge wire grounding out on the frame someplace.

Guage now working! My fuel guage is working, but is not at all accurate. Shows full until less than half tank.

Same thing is going on with mine. Started at about 50 hours, I now have 70 hours on it. Not the biggest thing, definitely annoying. I check my fuel level before each use, so the chances of running empty are slim. I top off frequently. Wondering if they would send the sensor.

My faulty fuel sending unit behaved in a similar fashion; it was replaced under warranty. It had apparently been damaged (rusted) by exposure to rain.

Note that the dash cluster was replaced under warranty on many early BX24s... also as a result of water damage; mine was replaced as well.

If you are having the fuel sender serviced under warranty, I encourage you ask the dealer to upgrade your dash cluster as well; Kubota claims that the new cluster will resist rain much better than the old.
