There have been numerous past threads on raising the pressure of the relief valve. Please cite your experience on yhis subject. My dealer's Service Manager says leave it within factory spec but can site no other reason except the factory says so. I bought a bunch of shims and set up a guage unit to insert in the BH P &PB lines so am ready to proceed. What is the max you have raised it to and what resulted in capacity increase? Is there any knowledge base out there as to what the design limits on the pump output pressure can be maxed to? The shop manual and service folks say the factory does not deliberately release this info. Hoses and valves all have greater greater presure ratings than are feasible probably.

I dont know what the max press is for a BX. I'm waiting on some shims to bring mine to a bit over factory spec (40lbs). Would I go much higher than that? Dont know. I dont think anybody AFAIK has really pushed it??

There's lots of other threads where this is discussed, and people have generally noticed a pretty good increase in power output with the BX25, and also that their little beast often comes UNDER spec from the factory. BXPANDED.com advertises on TBN and sells a pressur test/adjust kit.

I, too would like to hear more about people's experiences with pressure boosts.

I made my own test set. Guage from Surplus center for 17.00 a steel tee and male/female couplers fro local Hydro shop for 35.00. Surplus Center does not sell couplers compatible with the Parker H2 set that Kubota uses. My Hydro shop sent me to SC as they cannot come close to competing or carry the stock they do. I use them for custome hoses and a number of other stuff as the do pneumatic parts also and repair cylindres/valveves and etc.

I havent gone over the factory specs at all -- but not sure why would you want to? I bumped mine up since it was a tad low and it felt like a new machine to me. The reliefs are there for a reason - to prevent damages. No damages means it did it job. There have been some people who bumped it a tad over spec and always keep in mind about possible damages - so don't over do it.

Just keep in mind the little hyd pump shaft isn't very big.
