bx 25 w r long toothbar

Hi Everyone.

I ordered a toothbar for my BX25 from the dealer I bought the tractor from. It is a w r long model. Looking forward to using it. I picked it up today, and it seems too short to me. The inside width of my bucket is 46.5 inches, but the width of the mounting brackets on the toothbar is 45.5 inches. Before I go and drill holes in my bucket, I thought I would ask first if there is suppose to be a half inch gap on each side of the bar where the bolt goes through? My guess is NOT, but then I thought maybe it is suppose to be that way so it can be easily moved later to swing up or something.

From what I've read, I believe they're only suppose to be no more than .5" shorter than the inside dimensions of the bucket. However, I could be wrong.

Seems like a waste of metal to send it back. Maybe I can add some really thick washers in between the bracket and the bucket on each side to fill the void.

My guess is the dealer gave them the wrong dimensions.

The WR Long Flat Tooth Bar that I received for my BX2660 fit snug in the bucket. That's what I expected it would be. Seems like the dealer should pay for shipping it back and getting the right size, if it was his mistake.

I ordered mine for my BX24 and it came in the same width-a little undersized. Not sure for the reason, maybe so installation and removal is easier. Anyway a washer on the inside of each end made for a easy solution. For anyone shopping for a tooth bar, I think this is the best. I like the fact that it has it's own cutting edge, so you're not chewing up your bucket's edge. Plus the teeth are replaceable. I paid about $250 delivered.
