I looked through the archives and saw that the BX series can have problems with the front tires and tubing is the way to go.

All good.

I cannot find a 18x8.5-10 tube anywhere.

A member had posted he used a 18x8.5-8 tube, but that seems wrong.

I cannot find a link or anything to the correct tube size.

Can anyone help?

Thank you

Green tire sealant, "slime", works better than a tube. Been there and have done that.

Hi,

Do yourself a favor and get the front tires foam filled. Extra weight adds stability and you will never fear a flat again.

Even better if you foam fill the backs too. I did on my BX and the side slope stability is amazing. Especially with the mower deck on.

Can you foam the tires yourself or have to go to a shop?

I have tried to research this as well and do not come up with anything useful. The only thing I have found is a place where you send your rims and tires and they do it, but putting the tractor out of service and paying that kind of shipping makes little sense to me.

Is this something a local place could do?

Thank you

Had a good hole in an older BX24 tire I owned and "Slime" worked for sealing that up...also had flats on my Exmark mower tires now and again and the "Slime" also fixed them up.
I always keep a jug of it around.

I also had trouble with the front tires on my BX24 & "slime" has been in for a few years & no trouble since.

I had my tires foam filled locally. I did have to leave them there a couple days. I did this both for the fronts on my BX 2200 and my B-2910, and the rear tires of the BX 2200 later after getting a puncture when they were liquid filled.

I can't imagine having it done if it were not possible to do it locally. The filled tires are very heavy and shipping cost would put things out of reach I think. The filled rear tires on my BX are actually are amazingly Heavy.

I don't think foam filling of tires would be in economical option if it was not available locally. Shipping costs would be the killer ... As well as turn around time...

But if you can find a place to do it locally, I'm sure you will be satisfied. I have no regrets!

I had my rear tires foamed filled locally and slimmed my fronts... my Dealer said foam filling the fronts is not recommended... something about more stress to the front axle...

My BX was out of service 24 hours... tires need/should set for 24 hours before use.
