BX 3PH \"Position Control\"
More than once I have read about the BX's lack of position control on the hydraulics, and the problems this can cause with setting an implement to a consistent depth.
Does anyone have any experience with using the locker on the feedback rod to control the lower position of the three-point hitch? I used it today with my new box blade, and found it to work pretty well. It is certainly not convenient, as it requires a 10mm socket, universal joint, six inch extension, and ratchet (which I would carry in my BX23's tool box IF IT HAD ONE /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif ), and a bit of trial and error to set, but it does seem to work fairly well once you get it set where you want it.
After 40 hours of operating time, this is my first chance to remove the BH and attach the 3PH. I have to admit that I was a bit worried about how well it would work, but so far no problems.
