Need some help.... I will be buying a front mount blower for my Bx2200 in the next few weeks to get ready for winter. I have an FEL now and understand that I can use the four way valve and valve mount from that with the new blower. Sounds like I need a quick hitch assembly and mid pto kit to complete the installation.
After I put everything on can I take the blower off and leave the quick hitch assembly on when I want to reattach and use my FEL? If not, how much of a job is it to take the quick hitch off?
Does the quick hitch have to come off when I use my MMM?

I have a quick hitch and a front mount snowblower on my BX 1800. The blower comes off of the hitch very easily by removing a pin, releasing a lever, then backing the tractor up a bit. As far as the quick hitch is concerned, it mounts on the front bumper and takes less than 5 minutes to remove. I'm pretty certain that it must be removed in order to mount the mower deck but as I said it takes less than 5 minutes to remove it. The snowblower works very well in all kinds of snow. Good Luck!

DaninGreenBay,

Since you have the four way valve you can use it for the quick hitch. You will need couplers after the valve to disconnect the loader lines and connect the quick hitch. You'll also need to pull the pins on the loader arm and ram to leave the four way valve attached. This is easy to do but a greasy mess /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif. Woodstock was kind enough to post this detailed (w/pics) modification to allievate this hack. Read this thread;

You can leave the quick hitch on, dissconnect the blower and hook up the loader but the quick hitch and PTO go under the front axle so you'll loose ground clearance in the front. As Dooze mentioned it is easy enough to remove. The quick hitch does need to be removed to use the MMM. The quick hitch PTO guard can stay on with the MMM. If you have the brush guard on you'll need to remove that (four bolts) to install the quick hitch as it hooks over the front frame member.

The blower works great btw.

Hope that helps,
Michael

You will have to take the quick hitch off in order to use the MMM. They both use the front attachment holes to mount. The quick hitch goes on and off in a minute or two. As for the hydraulics. The quick hitch will use 2 of the ports on your bucket control.
