Well, I guess the pin came out, the left front wheel, axle, and mounting rod fell out, and then I hit it with the blades. Wow! what a racket, it went through all three blades and went flying......I found most of the larger wheel pieces, but it was getting too dark to find the rod and axle. Any way, I do not have a kubota dealer in my hometown....is this a common size and is there somewhere I can get a new wheel without driving out of town? Farm and Fleet, John Deere Dealer?

Is this the correct part number? KUBOTA K53371-42110

I found some on Ebay, but would rather get one in town and was hoping that John Deere might have something close enough to work.....If not, I will probably order a whole set of greasable ones from Moweraxle.com

On an a similar note, I must say this mower deck is quite a stout unit!! Earlier this year i got too close to the steel culvert in the ditch and WAM! Everything came to a complete stop, mower deck and engine! I thought I killed my tractor....it made quite a gash in the culvert, but did not hurt the tractor and barely dinged the blade....Once I checked everything over, I started back up and went back to mowing....

I'm really not usually this careless. LOL

it pretty close. the RCK60B-22BX deck from kubotabooks.com lists the part as K5371-42110 GAUGE WHEEL. the pics that ebay has on the part number you posted looks exactly the same and only difference i see is extra 3 in the number. By the way , how did the pin work itself loose ? If i recall the 60 inch deck came with keyring like clips and i replaced mine with hairpin clips instead. i did that for ease of changing direction of wheels when removing the deck and so far it never came loose while mowing. I hope you can get the parts you need.

Thanks for the info!

I was mowing some very tall (3'-5') weeds and running close to the brush line....I figure a stubborn weed or a branch somehow pushed the pin out.

I also took off the stock keyring type clips and swapped with some hairpin clips like your talking about. I take the mower deck on and off often and like the ease of the hairpin clips. There is a chance that these were too light of guage and they have loosened up from going on and off so many times......heck, its possible I rotated a wheel when mounting and forgot to put the clip back on, but I doubt it....

Had a similar situation with those spring clips. I guess I lucked out in that I didn't trash the wheel assembly and was able to reuse it. I then promptly went back to those circle ring clips and haven't lost one since.
Expect to pay around $35-$40 for the whole assembly at a dealer, but this was priced out about 2 yrs ago.

I agree on the stoutness of the MMM's, they're smooth too.

My wheels on my 60" never hit the ground. Heck, you can remove them..:)

On my old G-series, the front left ring came off somehow and the scalp wheel dropped down. Upon taking a corner, the wheel dug into the earth and proceeded to break the weld from one side of the mount and bend it. The $20 repair bill at the welding shop was nothing compared to trying to get the deck in my truck bed. And all because of that little ring too... Keep an eye on them. On the new B, the rings are much smaller and nicer in my opinion.

This pin, Tractor Supply Company - Lock Pin Sw 5/16 X 1 3/4, is the exact pins that I tried and failed. I had them on all 4 anti-scalp wheels and they all came off at one time or the other.
