My dash seems to be building up more moisture behind the glass and would like to rid the problem. Anyone remove/reseal the glass or do anything to solve the problem?

Sometimes I will get a buildup of moisture behind the glass. This will happen as the tractor warms up and a short while after reaching operating temps this moisture will be gone. It always in the winter - so I would guess its the moisture from melting snow condensing on the cold glass.

I wonder if the instrument panel is really a "sealed environment". There might be clogged drain/venting holes in the dash module that if cleared will allow trapped moisture to escape. Just a thought.

Just replaced one for $200. It is sealed, with mine the glass started to separate. According to my dealer it's a common issue and he said Kubota's answer was the BX is a "luxury" tractor that they expected to be garaged a large portion of the time and should be kept under cover at a minimum to prevent it. About the crappiest response I can imagine, not totally sure I believe Kubota would say that.

Well problem solved... ended up replacing the cluster. While removing the old one, the glass easily came loose. Poured a couple ounces of water out of the cluster. Seal adhesion bad. Looks to be a quality issue. Notice the black paint peeling away from the glass. Pretty sure the reason for the leaking. Might be worth removing the glass and drying out your instrument panel and resealing but you might ruin the black perimeter paint in the process.

Sorry for the delay... lost track of this thread. I don't remember exactly but it was over $200.

Everything now working fine except I just realized my engine hrs is back to zero. I do wish there was a way to put the 330hrs back on the meter.

My hour meter area is 3/4 blacked out. I tried taking the cluster out today, the top part came out an inch or so but then it seemed stuck. Prying caused a small crack in the plexiglass. I could not move out the bottom at all. What is the technique needed to get it out?

Applying a heat gun to the front cleared up the display after a minute or so, then after a few minutes it turned black again.

Any chance just the LCD component could be replaced instead of the whole cluster if that would preserve the accumulated hours value?

I am pretty sure you will only find the whole cluster as it is a sealed unit. I doubt there is a way to add hours to it but I haven't asked the crazy question at my local Kubota service department.

Prying from the front I found, just messes more with the plexiglass and broke the seal in my case. Like I said earlier, I pulled the steering wheel and then partially removed the dash enclosure so I could get the back of the cluster sides with my hands to push it out putting pressure near the tabs. I knew where they were on the cluster looking at the replacement part and that gave me a clue where to press outward on the enclosure.
