I'm planning to order these lights and I would like to hear from those who have used them as to if there is a noticeable difference in performance between the 4 3/4" and 6" lights, and if the 3 light kit would be necessary/superior to the 2 light kit. Any help from owners would be appreciated. Thank you.

I just installed the 4 3/4"-2 light kit a few weeks ago. I mounted them on the ROPS under the top of my BX25 to give them a bit more protection from stray branches, etc. They really do light up the night especially with the headlights on too. They will basically be used seasonally during the winter with the front snowplow. The install was pretty easy once I found and removed the tape from the extra power wires on the tractor. In hindsight, I should have purchased the 3 light kit because there is a need to see when backing up on those cold dark nights. All parts seem to be of good quality and everything needed for the install is included. I'm happy!

In my case, I was in a hurry to get it done for an upcoming hay ride. So I ordered the small set of two and they worked fine for me just like paulemar. If one wants to get more involved in such lighting, he could spend quite a bit more or a bit less. The BX-Expanded product does just as it describes and served me well on the BX. I then transfered them to my new Kubota B2620 where they hooked up just as easily. I think my BX2660 could have handled a three light set up, especially if there were a seperate set of switches. Cheers Mike

I have the smaller set and they throw plenty of light. I have a front mount snowblower and the stock headlights are effectively blocked by the blower (and the FEL when it's being used) so these lights are an excellent addition. You'll like them--plenty of light from the smaller ones.

I got my father a set for XMas, went with the smaller set and just 2 of them. Now I wonder if a 3rd for backing up would have been a good idea.....dammmmmm.

I'll probably wait until this coming summer, but I think I'll add an LED facing the rear. There are only 2 wires to tap the new light into, so that will be the easy part. Making a decent looking, functional, mounting bracket will a little more of a challenge. It's too bad they don't make an add-a-light kit or sell the mounting brackets separately for those of us who now think the 3 light option would have been a better choice. Hint, Hint!

Thank you so much for your advice. Based on your recommendations, I just ordered a 3 light set of the smaller lights. I appreciate your help.

I think my work light circuit is only 10 amps. Does anyone know what the three lights draw for amps?

According to BX specs, the three light set draws 13.5 amps. But BX can correct me if I'm wrong. Call BX if you want more info. They are quite helpful.

This is kind of what this thread is about, I think. I added three 27 W LED work lights (two forward, one back, switched independently) which will draw, if all on at once, less that 7 amps. I like the LED lights, having had them, along with conventional incand. work lights, on my last tractor.
