BX FEL Left side - Right side

Can some one explain to me why, (while sitting in the seat) the right arm of the FEL that attaches to the subframe is thicker than the left arm? I noticed it today and wonder why they
are not the same guage.

I'll have to look when I get home, but perhaps to accomodate the controls??? and all the hydraulic hookups?
