I’m looking for a carry shelf that attaches to the front of the frame. A place to occasionally carry stuff without having to attach the FEL. And would like to leave it mounted all summer while mowing and moving around the trailer and log splitter.

A starter idea:

If the receiver was just below the front frame, and not sticking out, it could stay on with the FEL. There is only about 3 inches between the frame and the loader crossmember on my BX, when fully lowered.

Mount a step bumper receiver vertically behind the frame, then use this. Easy to take off, and no interference with the loader crossmember.

I’ve considered a hitch but imagine it would rattle and bounce around. Hitches aren’t a solid connection. But thanks, it’s still an option.

There are several anti-rattle devices for hitches. But I don't think I could hear a rattle over all the other noises when driving.

A local farmer had a fabricator make him a front mounted box/shelf. He uses it to haul tools, potatoes, fertilizer, etc, when driving between the various fields he farms.

The box is interchangeable between his small Kubota B2100 and the bigger M7060. Both tractors have two pieces of square tubing mounted horizontally, facing forward and spread apart on the front above the front weights. Then the box just slides has two pieces of square tubing as well that just slides on the other pieces of tubing on the tractor. A pin trough both tubes keep everything in place.

It can easily be removed and while his tractors don't have loaders, there wouldn't be any interference with the mounts.

I drill a 9/16 inch hole to the bottom of the receiver and then weld a 1/2 inch nut over it. A bolt keeps the hitch from rattling.

I like the idea of a receiver on the tractor's front since it can also be used for a winch using a hitch mount.

A hitch up front really is a good idea.
