Any reason you can't drag those things with a chain from the drawbar which is actually made to pull with all the tractor's might?

Um, one thing those of us with baby tractors have to be careful of is getting runned over by what we're yankin around /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I don't think I'd want to push a car with the grill guard on my bx23.
Anybody else game to try it with theirs?

Ok, finally got a chance to test it for ya:
No prob pushing 2 tons of Mopar iron slightly uphill ... I mean, as though it wasn't there. So, I set the parking break /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Forward motion was limited to the backend of the Ramcharger raised off the overloads, pulling all the frontend weight off Baby, scuffing up a few inches of gravel and, making the hydo whine a bit. No bending or whatever of the brush guard. Note: I had to use a spare wheel as a bumper cuz the FEL was scuffing the Ram canopy otherwise.
Cheers!

Hi neighbor,
I couldn't help but notice that bucket you've got attached to carry your shovels and rakes with you. Also that...what is that...a budweiser on the fender? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Just wanted to caution if you haven't thought about it already. If you've got stuff sticking out of that bucket, be sure to wear your seatbelt. An unforeseen bump could poke your eye out? I know you've built a million things for the tractor and I thought I'd share this picture. I try to carry as much stuff behind me rather than in front of me. For some reason I'm always running over some kinda bump that jostles me around without expecting it.

Just wanted to make sure you could still see me when we finally meet. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hi neighbor Rob!!! Sorry I missed replying when it was timely. I got the email notification but it slipped thru the cracks of my alleged mind /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

To answer:

It was not a Budweiser, but a Coors mfg diet beer. The pic was taken in the afternoon so I had already had my homebrew and high priced strore-bought beer for breakfast/brunch. I like to drink diet beer thru the day cuz I'm single and need to watch my figure.

I do appreciate your concern about my tools bucket. It is a real potential problem. But being locked down in compound low and 4WD with a top speed of 1 mph (checked with GPS), I believe that I have mitigated that liability as best I can. If you really think THAT'S a notable prob, I suggest you drive a hydro sometime, specifically a BX ... if you back off the pedal just enough to slow and go a bit too far, you can, literally, LAUNCH yourself. And then there's the sidehill work. That's another issue. So ... I do try to wear my belt at least 10% of the time.

Fortunately there is more stuff than tractor work ... though it does have to be "important" to supercede tractor work, attached is a pic of two happy piggy loins, cured, and smoked with native live oak, ready to pull off the smoker and let rest for a couple of daze ... then eat one and freeze one.

For 26 years, I have traveled to and from my property. 80 miles round trip. No amount of money, family, or other obligations could have kept me in Glendale, CA, where I was born and raised. LIVING on my properties and commuting to them IS the only lifestyle for me. I'm at "home" everyday, after work /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Cheers!
