I searched this forum but I never have much luck doing that.
My current issue (besides the fact that my fule tank is leaking), is that I want to buy grease and a grease gun to use on my BX. I need to do the 60" MMM and the FEL and the accelerator. The manual called for SAE multi purpose for the MMM and "extreame pressure" molybdenum disulfide (moly ep) for the FEL. I cannot find any grease with the SAE rating. I have found the following at my local auto parts store:
Coastal Industrial Moly EP
Coastal Uniplex Hi Temp
Slick 50 1 grease
Unilube Synthetic blend
Will one (or two) of these do the trick or should I look for something specific elsewhere. I really want to make sure I get the right stuff since I often screw up on matters like this by not researching enough.
Also I read a post about not mixing different types. I dont know what they used exactly but I think the deck had blueish stuff and the loader had black. That said, I would doubt they took any care to put the right stuff in so I may have to purge it all and put al new in if I find a good recomendation.
any and all advice? Thanks

Rogue-
Did you find the thread on "red grease"? I particularly liked Rat's answer. I use red (Chevron Ultra Duty EP). It seems to stay put better than some others. I don't think you need to worry about "mixing" in this application. - Stan

If it was me, I'd get one good greasegun, with a rubber extension to get in the tight spots and go with the Moly EP grease. OR if you like to complicate your life, get two guns and use one for moly, the other for a lithium ep grease. Moly is the black grease and it gets on everything, your wife will love it. Especially when you clean that dolop off the zerk before greasing and it drops on the shop floor. You will be required to step on it and track it in the house, or walk by a fitting in a tight spot and get some on your backside, great for the couch. Anyway, those lithium and moly greases are compatable, just dont mix with Aluminum complex grease (Got a boat?) I would also avoid the miracle greases unless you really know what your doing. Good Lithium grease, applied often and consistantly, kept fairly clean will serve you well.
