BX Hydraulic Top Link

Has anyone installed a hydraulic top link on a BX?

Ya know, that's a good question. I see the place for the lever built in to the tractor, but no where do i see any place to hook it up if you have the FEl hooked up. Even my dealer is stumped on this one. It might be nice to have for the Box Rake...unnecessary, but nice...

"Box Rake" is something I haven't heard before. And, since I'm researching getting a landscape rake for my B6100, can you give me some more info? Is is a landscape rake with "end plates"? Who makes yours?

In these parts, it's referred to as a box rake, though I've heard others refer to it as a box scraper, which is probably more accurate. Mine is made by Woods. It's a big, heavy metal frame that has adjustable teeth (scarifyers) at the front to break up the packed dirt, and a reversable scraper blade at the back...I use it to level out the dirt and reform out back for now.

If you're into lanscaping, you might want to check out a Harley Power Rake. I actually have one for sale, but you'll need a bigger tractor than a BX, which I have. It is powered, and runs in reverse direction, and powders up to 5" deep, while angling at the same time to remove rocks. I had it on a larger Kubota that I sold last year. There is no better for seed bed prep.

They sell new for about $6000, plus the extra valve needed for angling will run another grand. I'm selling mine for $4000 with the valve, and should sell it fairly easily come the season for it...
