BX Hydrostatic seal leak

I have a 2001 BX2200 with approximately 350hrs. It developed a hydro leak last year. I took it to my original dealer, he power washed it and ran it, couldn't find a leak.
1 week later the leak was there, guess it started to accumulate again. It leaks only dynamically and does not leak statically so only when it is powered up does it leak.

I took it another dealer in Virginia and they just called today. Seems like it is the hydrostatic pump housing seals and with parts and labor they want $893.00 to repair. I asked the dealer if there was a service bulletin on this and he said "No". Seems odd that with around 300 hours, the seals would go. He is ordering a Hydrostatic pump seal replacement kit to replace all seals (drive line as well) while he has it apart.

My question: Anyone had this problem with their BX2200 or 1800 or any BX? If so, has there been any sort of Service Bulletin on this? Also, is this price "in the ball park"? At 60/hr for labor I am guessing that labor is about 13 or 14 hours...that seems to be a heck of an amount of time! I have nothing to gauge this by so I am posting the questions here.

I have a bx2200 I just started looking at the leaks and I too have a lot of leaks around the hydro unit and was wondering what ever happen with your leaks . Thanks jason

Sounds like seeping. Little enuf not to worry, but gauge consumption. Seals probably dry from lack of use. Run the tractor.

Its a good leak not just seeping , its a steady stream . it has almost 1600 hours on it. All it ever did was mow before i got it . i put the 3 point hitch and front end loader on it. i have the tractor tore down in the back and its not what i installed for the loader its coming down the pass side of the hydro pump area in front of the rear trans axle .Thanks jason
